The bloxberg network will be undergoing a scheduled upgrade at block number 5,006,743 which is predicted to occur on Tuesday, February 11, 2020. The exact date is subject to change due to variable block times and timezones.
For that, we need to update both
v2.6.6) and the
bloxberg.json. The json file is updated on our github repository for validator nodes, which you can simply download and then replace the old bloxberg.json file with the new one on your node. Please also update your Dockerfile to be consistent with the file located on the repository here. Finally, update your validator.tpl (template) located in ./src/validator.tpl to the latest version which can be found here.
Lastly, ensure that your bootnodes.txt file is on the latest version to ensure stable connection to all other nodes, again you can find this in the repository here.
Alternatively, you can simply clone the entire repository and copy your ./validator/bloxbergData folder to the new cloned repository in ./validator. Then perform the same steps below.
After updating these files, please shut down your node by checking the docker process by running these two commands:
docker stop *container ID*
Then, you can go to the root of the folder structure and run:
docker-compose -f validator.yml up --build
This will restart the node process and bring your node back up online. Once you have ensured it is running stable, you can then shut it down again with Ctrl+C and run:
docker-compose -f validator.yml up -d
We will monitor the network during the upgrade period and will inform the consortium of any updates. Once you have upgraded your node, please send an email to email@example.com to confirm the update.
